Takes place immediately after the last Five Things fic, which itself is a follow-up. Unlike the other two, it mostly takes place in a very quick progression of events, which is probably cheating, but since they both still manage to do some incredibly stupid things, I think it works. Even if it is cheating. Which it probably is. The title is taken more or less from a line in the previous one, which was written after some serious Hugh Grant influence. And don't worry; I'm not going to spoil American Dreamz for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it really isn't your typical Hugh Grant film. It had me making this face D: more than once. (Good lord. Could my fic commentary get any gayer?)

Also, I'm not posting this to Sandford until someone else says something over there. I feel like I'm spamming the poor place, with the last three somethings said being from me. Consider this post an advanced screening, or something. :P

In case you have not yet noticed, I love these Five Times fics. This one had the potential to go one of two ways, and it was a bit of a battle to decide which one was better suited for the overall product. I think I like this ending better than what it would have been, and it leaves things open for a follow-up. I don't think it goes along with anything else at this point, though.

Summary/Warnings:This is done. Finished. No more. I didn't hit my goal, but I don't care. I was happy with where it ended, and didn't want to try to drag it out any longer than needed.

I think Nicholas is about a "put back together" as he's going to get. Hopefully, this fic did what it was supposed to, and tied beginning of film!Nicholas to end of film!Nicholas, and everything in between.

Summary/Warnings: Danny's still feeling a lot neglected, and probably has good reason.

According to the dot points I have set up, about half of this chapter was not supposed to happen, but it feels like something that should have been included in the initial outline. For a character that wasn't even supposed to be in this story, Travis has developed beyond the point of just "supporting male" and has apparently become not only an integral part of Nicholas' relationship (or lack thereof) with Janine, but is also becoming a sticking point with his relationship with Danny. I've got Nicholas' entire relationship with Travis for this story mapped out in my head, and I'm not sure how much of that I'm able to be getting across.

A lot of Janine comes out in this chapter, too, and in that reveal, it also shows how much Angel has changed over the last year. A lot has happened to this man in a short period of time, and it's beginning to take its toll on him. Danny realizes there's more to the story than he's being told, but he's not quite ready to know the whole thing, yet.
